MLC Cut their ‘first’ CD. Jan 2006.
It was Christmas 2005 when each of the group members received an empty
CD case from their respective partners and the gift of some studio time that
would enable us to put something into that CD case. Below there are some
photos of the day MLC visited the recording studio or as I like to say ............
got their first recording contract. Our thanks and love go to Janet, Fiona,
Mary, Monica and Sue
And here it is!
Below some pictures
Of how we got there.
All profits from sales will be
donated to charity. Our five track
CD is priced £3.00 plus P&P and
can be ordered online by e-mailing
MLC here.
MLC at Middleton Masonic Bar-B-Q - 11 June 2006
In June 2006 MLC got their first booking on the back of our recently released
EP. Unfortunately Michael wasn’t able to make this Gig but friend and
accomplished musician Simon Kelly was willing to accept the challenge. Simon
got to grips with some thirty five songs in four weeks and did a great job for us.
For more about Simon visit the Encore page. The Gig raised £280.00 for charity
which will be distributed at the end of the year along with other monies raised
by Middleton Masonic Lodge charity functions. The total money raised throughout
the year is donated to a number of worthy causes. Pictures courtesy of Kevin Day.
MLC Bar-B-Q Plus - 8th July 2006
The weather wasn’t as good as last year but the fun was! The plus was an
extension to the MLC Bar-B-Q when I (Bernie) added a few friends to
the invitee list to help celebrate a belated 50th.
Jan Lord’ *!th Birthday Party - 26th August 2006
The 26th of August saw MLC in Jan Lords back garden where along
with a couple of Sumo wrestling suits we provided the entertainment
for Jans birthday bash. Jan kindly made a donation of £100 to Ysbyty
Gwynedd renal unit in lieu of our performance. MLC CD sales on the
night amounted to £35 and along with other monies received prior to
this gig MLC were able to donate another £75.00 to the same charity.
