Jenny and Suzie’ 21st and 18th birthday bash Jan 28th 2005.
This was another just for fun occasion when Jenny and Suzie
asked MLC to play at their celebration bash. Flattery indeed
for us oldies. Thanks everyone (especially Monica) for making
this such a wonderful night for Jenny and Suzie. Some pickies
soon hopefully.
Ron Murray’ *?Th saw MLC play as a quartet with Alan and Bernie learning
the new art of bass guitar juggling. Some of our audience misinterpreted our
failing sight as inflated egos thinking Alan and Bernie were bowing after each
song when we were just consulting the modified set lists on the floor to see
who was playing bass on this one! A good time was had by all!
The MLC BBQ 2005 despite some of the serious faces (concentration) a good
time was had by all. Same place same weather (please) next year!
MLC had the privilege of performing for Joan at her retirement bash when
over a hundred guests enjoyed a great evenings entertainment. Free raffles,
great buffet, good beer prices and MLC what more could anyone ask for?
Joan kindly gave a donation of £100 for us to pass on to Dr Kershaws
Hospice. Thankyou Joan!
The pictures above (taken by Sarah Turner and Simon Kelly) are of
the Shore Edge fundraiser held at St James’ parish rooms, £378 pounds
being raised on the night. This sum will go towards the provision of a
youth worker for the local Methodist circuit churches.
Michaels *?th Birthday Jan 2005.
This was a just for fun occasion when Michael brought together his
friends and family to celebrate his birthday. Michael asked the people
he had played with over the years to provide the entertainment for
the evening and like all the others MLC were honoured to be asked
and happy to oblige. Below are a some photos of MLC and Michael
performing with his family. There were other performers from Michaels
past that took the stage with him on the night, you might spot Ian
Cleverdon playing mandolin with Michael and his family.
