Pete Oconnor:-
I was born in Moston, Manchester and I Started playing drums at the age of 14 on biscuit tins and an old hollow TV shell for a base drum. After driving my mam crazy for weeks she decided to buy my very first drum kit for £50.00, [sounded a lot better]. Then after a couple of years having fun and ear-bashing with one of my best friends Alan Humphries [now our lead guitarist] we formed a band. The band was called ‘Mixed Company’ and we have supported well known stars, such as the late Roy Castle and the one and only Freddy and the Dreamers. P.S. I always wanted to play guitar.
My main pass time is the band, having a good deal of fun and helping charities at the same time. I love to dabble on the computer but I’m not very good at it yet. Drama/cooking/playing pool/watching movies/and music of course, are also some of my favourite pass times. I love sci-fi, but my number one film of all is a musical with the one and only Gene Kelly called that's right, "Singin' in the rain".
Last but not least I love doing film extra work. I have played in a series called Cops and the last work I did was the Channel 4 series called ‘No Angels’.
